Nature of the Tasks

• Administration of IT systems, covering:
  1. setup/installation/deployment;
  2. monitoring (includig SAP interoperability components) ;
  3. configuration/tuning, and
  4. daily operations of software applications / components at the technical level.
• Programming and testing (e.g. Unix Shell admin routines).
• Load testing (stress tests and crash tests)
• Documentation: Writing technical installation documents, and reports on IT operations events.
• Validation of implementations.
• Troubleshooting IT operation events. Debugging.
• Development of ad hoc solutions to problems.
• User support. Second level support in the SOA field.
• Providing advice on IT architecture, and deployment and transport tools.
• Improving the processes and proposing solutions of new infrastructure and controls.

Knowledge and Skills
All of the following:

• Expert in installing, configuring, tuning and monitoring an enterprise SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) system built around an ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) with orchestration of synchronous and asynchronous IT services – (note: a certification in enterprise architecture shall be considered equivalent to 2 years of such professional experience).
• Expert in Linux/Unix (all Ubuntu, Red Hat and SuSE distributions), namely installing, configuring, tuning, monitoring, daily operations with IT admin shell commands/ utilities, regular expressions, and shell scripting – including FTP, telnet, SSH, TCP/IP, rsynch, sub- netting, routing, and DNS setup.
• Expert in load and stress tests with enterprise scenarios with Micro Focus (ex-HP) LoadRunner.
• Expert in monitoring a corporate IT infrastructure with BMC Patrol.
• Expert in corporate application server WebLogic version 12.2.x (or upwards), from an operations perspective (monitoring, infrastructure, DevOps).
• Expert in Structured Query Language (SQL) and in PL/SQL and TRANSACT SQL.
• Good knowledge of the Java programming language, of C#, REST, XML, JSON.
• Good knowledge of Git.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and error handling in a SAP environment.

Specific Knowledge and Skills
In addition to the Knowledge and Skills, four of the following:

1. Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (or higher) Enterprise;
2. Expertise in Python versions 2 and 3;
3. Working Knowledge of Apple iOS, Apple OS X;
4. Expertise in Shell Scripting for Microsoft PowerShell;
5. Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Server manager;
6. Expertise in HP Service Manager, Atlassian JIRA;
7. Very good knowledge of the TOAD software (or equivalent);
8. Expertise in a Hypervisor (VMWare, or Hyper-V, or Citrix);
9. Expertise in Service Bus Oracle OSB, Java Message Service Queuing, Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ);
10. Expertise in Oracle APEX;
11. Working knowledge of the ITIL framework;
12. Expertise in SAP HANA installations and administrations (using Cockpit, HANA Studio, hdbsql);
13. ETL and datawarehouse expertise, in Oracle and SAP;
14. Working Knowledge of Cisco IOS.
15. Working knowledge of Amazon AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS)
16. Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Azure Powershell, Azure CLI, Azure Application insights, Microsoft Visual Studio)

Nature of the Tasks

• Database installation, configuration and administration (including Oracle databases parameterized and specifically set-up and modified for SAP)
• Database monitoring and tuning

Knowledge and Skills
All of the following:

• Expertise in Oracle enterprise databases (version 11 upwards)
• Ability to simultaneously administer a large park of Oracle database instances (>50) in 24/7 mode, including very high-volume of transaction databases (very high IOPS infrastructure).
• In-depth knowledge of relational database systems,
• Expertise in database design for OLTP (Online Transaction Processing).
• Expertise with data-warehousing databases (highly de-normalized and with a star-topology) and data marts.
• Expertise in ETL (Extract-Transformation-Load) tools such as Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB).
• Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Expertise in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Expertise in backing-up databases with RMA
• Expertise in setting upf the specific parameters, and other customizations of Oracle databases embedded in SAP.
• Good knowledge of modelling database tools
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server (2012 upwards).
• Working knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
• Working knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, AGILE, SCRUM).
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments

Specific Knowledge and Skills
In addition to the Knowledge and Skills, one or more of the following:

1. Very good knowledge of performance analysis with AWR (Automatic Workload Reporting) and ASH (Active Session History).
2. Working knowledge of the ITIL framework.
3. Expert knowledge of Oracle Data Guard
4. Expert knowledge of Oracle Streams
5. Expert knowledge of Oracle APEX (Oracle Application Express)
6. Working knowledge of Business Objects (BO)
7. Working knowledge of BMC Patrol
8. Good knowledge of any one of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase ASE, PostgreSQL, SQLite3 and MySQL
9. Expertise in the administration of a SAP HANA database.
10. Working knowledge of technical frameworks: J2EE, Spring, hibernate
11. Working knowledge of SOA technologies : XSD, WSDL, JAX-WS
