Golder has a new opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our Industrial water/wastewaterteam on a full-time contract basis based in Milan.

Key duties and responsibilities include:• Correctly identify the specific needs of the customer and, with guidance from a Senior, select appropriate technologies
• standard engineering steps of the projects (feasibility, basic, front end engineering design, support to construction and operations) and the related cost estimate ranges
• Establish the characteristics, specifications, and performance of water treatment equipment
• Once a purchase order has been received, works as a part of the project execution team, leading/participating to the preparation of design documents
• Prepares process design deliverables such as calculations, reports, block flow diagrams, heath and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, Data sheets, layouts…
• Acts as Client’s primary technical interface for the projects, working with the guidance of the Project Manager and the review of the appropriate Senior (Senior Process engineer, Senior Design engineer)
• Interacts with equipment vendor/suppliers
• Prepare the design criteria according to the requirements
• Actively mentor peers and junior staff at higher end of range and shares learnings with colleagues
• Follow deadlines and allotted budgets respecting QA/QC protocols
• Cooperate with other departments within Engineering team (Renewables, Decommissioning, Civil & Infrastructure) and with other business units (Remediation, Permitting, etc.)
• Keep a technical watch over his sector of specialization
• Suggest research and development possibilities for his area of activity
• Gives proper priority to health & safety and embraces Golder’s H&S culture

Qualifications

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Has a general mastery of water treatment procedures or pertinent experience
• Good knowledge of water chemistry
• Knowledge of key industrial sectors, such as oil and gas and manufacturing
• Familiar with standard engineering steps of the projects (feasibility, basic, front end engineering design, support to construction and operations) and the related cost estimate ranges
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering firm is an asset
• Self-sufficient, responsible, organized
• Result oriented
• Ability to meet deadlines and costs

Requirements:

Requisiti:

GIS Engineering Technician Support Services:

  • Support installation PWDs, EURAFSWA and LANT PWBL staff by providing o Produce utility maps for the EURAFSWA Region in a variety of formats raging from hard-copy map books to electronic CADD drawings, and by preparing custom maps.
    • Performs analysis throughout the EURASWA Region through site visits, interviews with, and/or discussions among users of existing computer-based databases, review of historical records and/or files and prepares reports of such findings.

Certifications, Licenses, Physical Requirements or Other Expertise Required:

Geospatial Information System (GIS) Engineering Technicians support services for NAVFAC EURFSWA:

  • Certificate in Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) or the European/Southwest Asian equivalent.)
  • Professional training and experience (at least 3 years) in GIS Management, and/or geography and a working knowledge of urban/military or community planning.
  • Specific Knowledge in the development of user-oriented systems that integrate client/server databases, GIS tools, and web serving technology.
  • Proficiency in using software such as ESRI ArcGIS 10.x, Microsoft Office Suite, and have knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of prevailing practices in similar activities, agencies, and private sector in the area of computer-based facilities and land use inventory, GIS, management, and planning systems to better advise end-users of potential options.

Golder has a new opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our Industrial water/wastewaterteam on a full-time contract basis based in Milan.

Key duties and responsibilities include:• Correctly identify the specific needs of the customer and, with guidance from a Senior, select appropriate technologies
• standard engineering steps of the projects (feasibility, basic, front end engineering design, support to construction and operations) and the related cost estimate ranges
• Establish the characteristics, specifications, and performance of water treatment equipment
• Once a purchase order has been received, works as a part of the project execution team, leading/participating to the preparation of design documents
• Prepares process design deliverables such as calculations, reports, block flow diagrams, heath and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, Data sheets, layouts…
• Acts as Client’s primary technical interface for the projects, working with the guidance of the Project Manager and the review of the appropriate Senior (Senior Process engineer, Senior Design engineer)
• Interacts with equipment vendor/suppliers
• Prepare the design criteria according to the requirements
• Actively mentor peers and junior staff at higher end of range and shares learnings with colleagues
• Follow deadlines and allotted budgets respecting QA/QC protocols
• Cooperate with other departments within Engineering team (Renewables, Decommissioning, Civil & Infrastructure) and with other business units (Remediation, Permitting, etc.)
• Keep a technical watch over his sector of specialization
• Suggest research and development possibilities for his area of activity
• Gives proper priority to health & safety and embraces Golder’s H&S culture

Qualifications

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Has a general mastery of water treatment procedures or pertinent experience
• Good knowledge of water chemistry
• Knowledge of key industrial sectors, such as oil and gas and manufacturing
• Familiar with standard engineering steps of the projects (feasibility, basic, front end engineering design, support to construction and operations) and the related cost estimate ranges
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering firm is an asset
• Self-sufficient, responsible, organized
• Result oriented
• Ability to meet deadlines and costs
• Focuses on technical problem resolution
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage workload and multiple commitments
• Evolves from learning to leading others on how to deliver work

 

Requirements:

• A minimum of three years of experience in the water treatment sector or experience in a connected sector
• Master’s Degree in environmental or chemical engineering (PhD an asset)
• English (both written and spoken)
