Being part of SAP’s Customer Success organization, we are looking for highly motivated and customer-focused team members to strengthen the Cloud Architecture & Advisory team (CAA). The Cloud Architect acts as a primary point of contact for all technical topics from customer perspective and is working closely with all the other internal teams.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
This is a customer facing role where you will support the sales teams during the entire cycle of a Cloud deal. Following are the key tasks that this role will perform:
1. Present in detail the RISE with SAP Private Cloud, S/4 HANA Cloud Extended Edition and the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud service offering
2. Present the requirements and value proposition for SAP private cloud on hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
3. Conduct assessment workshops with customers to define the future Cloud architecture and plan the migration roadmap together with partners, System Integrators, and or SAP Professional Services.
4. Guide customers around Business Continuity, Security & Compliance, Networks etc..
5. Work with BID teams to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
6. Own the technical discussions with the customer and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from the SAP delivery organization as required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
+ Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Business Administration required from an accredited university.
+ High proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required
+ High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings and industry solutions.
+ Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies etc.)
+ Good understanding of operational aspects (Application or Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
+ Good understanding of capabilities of at least one Hyperscaler (AWS; MS Azure or GCP)
+ Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects
+ Willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice
+ Languages - Fluency in Italian and English. Any other European language (especially Greek) will be an advantage.
WORK EXPERIENCE
+ 5 years of customer facing SAP Consulting experience.
+ 5 years of solution design, enterprise architecture and or SAP implementation.
+ Experience in a customer facing pre-sales role is an advantage.
+ Experience with IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure or GCP) and data centers is a big advantage.
+ SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful but not mandatory.

Our solutions include Mobile Computers, PSS, Mobile Device Management, WIFI, RFID, Intelligent Edge, and Speech Solutions whilst our services include design, deployment, customization, commissioning and consult of Solutions.

 

The Professional Services System Engineers are involved in pre-sales and post-sales work which includes:

 

Support on pre-sales activities of large and/or complex solutions such as Mobile Computing, MDM, PSS, RFID, WIFI, Location solutions and IES.

Preparing and attending customer meetings.

Responding to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs.

Creating customer documentation such as presentations, Project Designs, Project Scope Definitions and Quotations.

 

From a post-sales perspective;

Assess, Design and Deployment Services for Mobile Computing Solutions.

Deliver services including installation, customization and commissioning for WiFi, Mobile Computing Rollouts, MDM, Enterprise Software rollouts, RFID, and other Services.

Deliver Troubleshooting, Support and Training Services to direct customers as well as channel partners.

What we are looking for from you:

An accomplished Systems Engineer preferably with a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or an allied field and someone who demonstrates a proven record of success in working on customer projects.

 

You’ll have connectivity knowledge within major operating system environments using current standard protocols and the ability to propose and craft cross-platform system solutions. Experience of planning and performing major systems integration and test system hardware and software interoperability is important, as is experience in using proven tools and design methodologies to analyze, document and support complex solutions.

We are seeking knowledge of:

  • Mobile Computing and Mobile Computer Operating Systems such as Windows Mobile, CE, Android, iOS, Printers and handheld scanners.
  • Windows and Unix Operating and Database systems.
  • Wired and wireless Communication standards (LAN/WAN/MAN, etc.), protocols, networking data and voice and how they affect Zebra’s products (Desirable)
  • Experience of SOTI, Wavelink or Airwatch (or similar).

We are seeking an IoT Solution Architect to work remotely and at client locations to support the development and closing of sales offerings in conjunction with strategic partners. The role combines relevant technical experience in IoT solution architecting, with the ability to bring sophisticated systems in context with them and effectively communicate those solutions to clients in a sales engagement.
Responsibilities:

Requirements:
· +4 years of experience in the architecting and developing enterprise applications by using legacy and modern technologies on Cloud platforms
· Experience in developing or architecting of IoT solutions using Cloud IoT services is a plus
· Deep expertise in complex lambda architecture, serverless computing, enterprise integration, API management, cloud-to-device and device-to-cloud communication

Role and responsibility

You will:

  • Understand the needs and requirements of business and users. Contribute to identify the best design solutions;
  • Work closely with the Product Manager and other team members to outline the design process' objectives and timing. Plan activities during all the stages of the process;
  • Implement user research activities to identify user needs and problems and to validate design solutions;
  • Contribute to the development of jobs-to-be-done, personas and users' journeys, as well as their maintenance and improvement over time;
  • Be responsible for translating the information and data collected during research into clear and usable sketches and wireframes. Use prototyping tools when required;
  • Support the creation of pixel-perfect graphic interfaces for multiple devices from validated wireframes. When necessary, you take care of their realization independently, respecting the visual guidelines of the project;
  • Research feedback from the team and the the Product Manager before developing solutions;
  • Present your solutions to the team and customers with clarity and strategic vision, supported by data from the research activities;
  • Cooperate with other team members and in particular with developers to optimize the customer experience and ensure brand consistency
  • Keep yourself updated on the latest best practices and work methods, participating and contributing to their implementation;
  • Ensure the quality of your work and compliance with your estimations, reporting critical issues and opportunities to the projects you are working on;
