SOLUTION ARCHITECT – SPARK/JAVA - ITALY - MILAN

Solution architect Spark/Java required to join a team in a Consulting Company based in Milan. The individual will be responsible for designing and developing Spark based programs for interfacing with middleware applications. The individual also needs to be able to develop and maintain Java-based components. The individual will be responsible for technical deliverables, providing architectural guidance, enforcing industry best practices, conducting code reviews, building support processes, and serving as an escalation point during production outages. The individual will be responsible for product design and delivery for the team as well as unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing activity to ensure the software produced does not negatively impact overall enterprise stability. The individual will regularly present the deliverables to peers and management to ensure consistency with the overall strategy and architecture.
Key Responsibilities

• Work with business and technology teams to formulate specific application design (for Data Ingestion, Migration, Standardization and Analytical consumption needs).
• Design and develop Scala and Spark programs.
• Design and build applications using Spring, Spring AOP, Spring Boot frameworks, Hibernate, Java Persistence API frameworks.
• Design and develop E2E POCs.
• Build REST & HTTP API services, starting from creating specs in RAML and interoperable in both XML and JSON.
• Build reusable Java application modules with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle or Teradata) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra or Mongo or HBase).
• Integrate applications by designing database architecture. Study and establish connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
• Collaborate in the design process. Work with product managers, engineers, customer success specialists and customers to prioritize, create, test, and iterate new and existing products and features.
• Provide analysis and write functional & technical specifications.

Knowledge/Experience

• Extensive experience with Spark development.
• Extensive core Java experience in designing enterprise data processing applications in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Clear understanding of Core functional and OOP programming principles.
• Extensive experience in batch and service architecture using frameworks e.g., Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Spark and Microservices.
• Ability to integrate Java applications with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle or Teradata) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra or Mongo or HBase).
• Expertise using Junit, Maven, pom.xml, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GIT, for regression testing and deploying applications for DevOps purposes.

Purpose:

Lead and direct the Accounting, Control, Finance and Administration operations of the Italian Legal Entities, to ensure timely, accurate and efficient financial, processes, systems, reporting and statutory compliance. Your Key Responsibilities:

• Establishing and further developing of a well-designed and efficient accounting function in line with International as well as Italian GAAP; this includes the proper and efficient design and execution of consolidation routines for existing and newly acquired legal entities
• Responsibility for all quarterly and year end closing activities incl. external audit and timely reporting towards the Group
• Insourcing of currently outsourced accounting services
• Key driver and enabler for the review and completion of the implementation of Finance modules within the Navision ERP system and related BI systems
• Streamlining the current legal organizational setup to establish a solid legal platform in line with specific regulations for further growth (also via acquisitions)

You are responsible for:

• Providing leadership and continued technical guidance to Dynamics project team members in the development of applications;

• Providing current best practices and solution alternatives as part of functional or technical design documents;
• Communicating complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences both with and without deep technical skills;
• Assisting with identifying impact of upgrades to Dynamics 365 and/or related integration software products on existing applications and in-progress applications in development to address changes needed to be able to implement the upgrades.
• Ensuring that all solutions are lightweight, scalable, completely secure, and built to an appropriate level of quality;
• Assisting and support other programmers in development, techniques and coding assignments;
• Applying industry software development standards and best practices including, but not limited to, unit test automation, code reviews, and maintaining code versions / application solutions in available repositories;
• Researching and recommend new and existing technologies to meet business needs, including creating prototypes, design documents, and solution designs;
• Planning and prioritize activities;
• Reporting activities and progress to the management on a weekly basis;
• Working on multiple projects at the same time.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Applications), Engineering, Math, Science, Technology, or related field
• At least 7 years experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 with strong knowledge of and experience with platform capabilities, out of the box configurations, customizations, and integration with other components;
• Experience with the CE, Sales, Event Management/Marketing, Customer Service modules within Dynamics 365;
• Experience working with Dynamics 365 F&O;
• Experience working with Dynamics 365 PSA or project operations is a plus;
• Experience working with data migration and loading for Dynamics 365;
• Experience in full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with knowledge of Agile and /or Waterfall methodology;
• Knowledge in data warehouse, ETL, data modeling is a plus;
