What You Will Do In Your Role

You will be responsible for implementing programs to obtain the most efficient freight transportation at the most economical cost while maintaining required compliance, safety, service and security levels. Perform, administer, and provide technical and analytical work related to planning, development, and execution of compliance and logistics policies and programs.

Corporate responsibility includes:

  • Conduct daily activities to protect self, fellow employees, contractors and customers from injuries with the understanding that safety is a fundamental expectation of each John Zink Hamworthy employee.
  • Understand and strive to meet or exceed the quality metric targets in own area of responsibility as defined in ISO 9001.
  • Be accountable for continuous improvement activities to enhance customer satisfaction, to ensure that our business processes are effective.

Role expectations:

  • Adapt and implement logistics and compliance policies, plans and strategies.
  • Coordinate as required with internal customers (project managers, etc.) to gain full understanding of shipment requirements, (ship to address, consignee, etc.) and customer expectations.
  • Manage the organization, planning and preparation of a variety of transportation (import, export, express, road, airfreight, sea freight, oversized) options. Reference all necessary detail (PO, contracts, etc.) to ensure all requirements are completely understood to minimize delays, mistakes, risk and non-conformances.
  • Prepare freight budget proposals, rate quotes and RfQ to support sales and forecasting.
  • Negotiate with carriers to obtain lowest overall cost while maintaining required service levels.
  • Facilitate win-win situations according to the project specifications and requirements.
  • Represent the Company’s position in disputes, such as rate and charge disagreements.
  • Direct, analyze, and advise on transportation matters that impact service and cost.
  • Work directly with customers and or their shipping agents to prepare and execute shipments.
  • Search for the most suitable means of transport (groupage / express / sea / road) and search for the most appropriate forwarding company according to the Project specifications and requirements.
  • Manage the expediting and tracking of shipments when necessary.
  • Organize shipment and requirements of projects when payments are covered by Letters of Credit, Sight Drafts, etc.
  • Manage the preparation, collection and timely distribution of all shipping documents (COO, BOL, FTA, Packing Slips, Invoices, etc.) necessary for shipment execution.

The Senior Program Manager, Europe Deployment will be responsible for coordinating the upfitting and deployment of our EU commercial vehicle fleet from the order placement to the final distribution. You will liaise with senior stakeholders from our fleet management partners and other supply chain partners to ensure the timely and effective deployment of our EU commercial vehicle fleet. You need to be comfortable handling highly complex relationships with external parties and coordinating multiple internal Amazon teams to achieve your goals. An ideal candidate will be analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work with limited supervision under time constraints to meet deadlines. The candidate will have proven experience in taking on end-to-end ownership, fleet management, quality assurance in the automotive industry (ideally with commercial vehicles) and effectively delivering results in a ever-growing and progressive business environment.
Some of the key job functions of the Senior Program Manager, EU Deployment are:
  • Owns the vehicles upfitting (installation of shelving, smart devices, GPS fleet management devices, etc.) and the successful deployment of vehicles at our delivery stations and delivery service partners.
  • Is capable of taking accountability and directing planning, resolution and execution.
  • Can autonomously develop and align standards to deploy vehicles on-time and to specification, while accounting for the flexibility needs of our fleet operations teams.
  • Is comfortable agile supply chain partners on timelines, quality of service and other potential bottlenecks.
  • Responsible for delivering the key metrics – program performance, program growth, on-time execution and quality assurance. Including the ability to aggregate information and to present key information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work with limited supervision to create appropriate action plans for those goals.
  • Great analytical orientation; comfort using databases and analytical tools and making data-based decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Solid experience handling complex programs in the automotive sector, ideally in the areas of fleet management, quality assurance in fleet deployments or related fields.
  • Experience in aggregating information and communicating effectively to internal and external stakeholders, incl. Amazon senior management.

Le risorse selezionate saranno inserite nel comparto logistico dell'azienda e verranno formate sulle attività di coordinamento e di supporto sia operativo che amministrativo del magazzino.

 

Per quanto riguarda le attività di magazzino si occuperanno di:

- controllo documentazione spedizioni

- supporto alle attivita' di uscita furgoni

- supporto alle attivita' di carico e scarico merci in fase di arrivo e partenze dei bilici

- verifica della corretta applicazione delle procedure interne di smistamento colli

Requisiti richiesti:

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator, to work in our Vimercate office.

What You Will Do In Your Role

You will be responsible for implementing programs to obtain the most efficient freight transportation at the most economical cost while maintaining required compliance, safety, service and security levels. Perform, administer, and provide technical and analytical work related to planning, development, and execution of compliance and logistics policies and programs.

  • Understand and strive to meet or exceed the quality metric targets in own area of responsibility as defined in ISO 9001.
  • Be accountable for continuous improvement activities to enhance customer satisfaction, to ensure that our business processes are effective.

Role expectations:

  • Adapt and implement logistics and compliance policies, plans and strategies.
  • Coordinate as required with internal customers (project managers, etc.) to gain full understanding of shipment requirements, (ship to address, consignee, etc.) and customer expectations.
  • Manage the organization, planning and preparation of a variety of transportation (import, export, express, road, airfreight, sea freight, oversized) options. Reference all necessary detail (PO, contracts, etc.) to ensure all requirements are completely understood to minimize delays, mistakes, risk and non-conformances.
  • Prepare freight budget proposals, rate quotes and RfQ to support sales and forecasting.
  • Negotiate with carriers to obtain lowest overall cost while maintaining required service levels.
  • Facilitate win-win situations according to the project specifications and requirements.
  • Represent the Company’s position in disputes, such as rate and charge disagreements.
  • Direct, analyze, and advise on transportation matters that impact service and cost.
  • Work directly with customers and or their shipping agents to prepare and execute shipments.
  • Search for the most suitable means of transport (groupage / express / sea / road) and search for the most appropriate forwarding company according to the Project specifications and requirements.
  • Manage the expediting and tracking of shipments when necessary.
  • Organize shipment and requirements of projects when payments are covered by Letters of Credit, Sight Drafts, etc.
  • Manage the preparation, collection and timely distribution of all shipping documents (COO, BOL, FTA, Packing Slips, Invoices, etc.) necessary for shipment execution.

The Experience You Will Bring

Technical Skills:

  • A solid understanding of government regulations related to transportation (Incoterms 2020, specific regulations for import and export etc.)
  • English level upper intermediate (will be tested)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A previous experience in multinational company as logistic coordinator
